Specially designed to offer enhanced comfort for older adults and individuals with disabilities, this seat is an essential addition to any public park or green space.

Design and Comfort

The Silaos® Assist Seat has been meticulously engineered to provide optimal comfort and accessibility. The seat is elevated by an additional 10cm to facilitate easier sitting and standing. It also features adapted armrests and a footrest, ensuring that users with limited mobility can use the seat without strain. This thoughtful design aligns with our mission to make public spaces more inclusive and accessible.

Technical Specifications

Available in two lengths (1200mm and 1800mm), the Silaos® Assist Seat can be tailored to fit the specific dimensions of your green space. The seat height stands at a comfortable 540mm. The structure is robust, constructed from 30x50mm steel tubes that are zinc-primed and painted in a selection of our standard colours for a rust-resistant finish. The footrest is similarly constructed from 50x30mm steel tubes, and the armrests have a thickness of 8mm, offering durability and strength. The seat and backrest are made from PEFC-certified oak with a thickness of 36mm, available in either a lacquered mahogany finish or a light oak stain. This ensures both aesthetic appeal and sustainability, aligning with our commitment to environmentally responsible manufacturing practices.

Customization and Durability

For added convenience and user comfort, the Silaos® Assist Seat comes with an optional central armrest. This armrest is 60mm wide and 8mm thick, recommended at one for a 1200mm seat and two for an 1800mm seat. This feature allows greater customisation to meet the needs of different user groups and seating arrangements. If the seat is to be installed within 5 miles of the coast, we recommend an additional weather treatment for the steelwork, such as galvanising, to bolster its resistance to harsh marine environments.
