Technical Specifications

The Silaos® Assist Chair is designed with specific dimensions and robust materials to meet various public seating needs:

Seat Length: 600 mm

Seat Height: 540 mm

Structure: The core structure is made from a 30 x 50 mm steel tube, which is zinc primed and painted in our signature colours. The footrest is also crafted from a 50 x 30 mm tube to ensure stability and durability. Armrests are 8 mm thick for enhanced comfort and support.

The seat and backrest are made from 36 mm thick PEFC certified oak, available in either a lacquered mahogany or a light oak stained finish. This ensures not only comfort but also sustainability, as we prioritise environmentally responsible materials in our manufacturing process.

The chair is mounted on base plates for secure installation. For locations within 5 miles of the coast, we recommend an additional weather treatment, such as galvanising, to protect the steel work from the harsh marine environment.

Design and Comfort

The Silaos® Assist Chair has been thoughtfully designed to provide extra comfort for elderly or disabled users. The seat height is elevated by 10 cm, which, combined with a supportive footrest and adapted armrests, facilitates easier sitting and standing.
