Anti-corrosion treatments and warranties

Our PROCITY® products made of steel feature two types of corrosion protection.

Galvanization, guaranteed for 10 years

Hot galvanizing is an industrial process that involves immersing steel tubes in a zinc bath at 450°C. This effectively and completely protects steel parts both inside and outside. Treated against corrosive phenomena, PROCITY® steel urban furniture offers a 10-year warranty against corrosion under normal use. This is why we recommend using hot galvanizing for urban equipment installed in a saline environment or in public spaces exposed to humid weather conditions and frequent snowfall.

This is the case, for example, for bus shelters, bicycle shelters, flower planters, and public steel benches located within a 5-kilometer radius of the seaside.

*PPRZ primer paint, guaranteed for 5 years

This anti-corrosion solution is widely used for outdoor steel furniture installed in standard climatic conditions and urban environments. It involves applying a layer of zinc-loaded powder primer, thus giving steel profiles greater resistance and a more impermeable surface that can benefit from a high-quality and aesthetic paint finish. This solution is therefore particularly recommended for products used in a standard environment and comes with a 5-year warranty against corrosion** for normal product use. Our town barriers,bollards, steel benches, and litter bins are among the products we offer as standard with the PPRZ finish.

PAINT FINISH, GUARANTEED FOR 5 YEARS.

We use a polyester powder paint that is UV resistant. Our products can be painted over galvanized surfaces or zinc (PPRZ). The quality of the paint finishes and their UV resistance come with a 5-year warranty. For each line of PROCITY® steel urban furniture, a choice of standard RAL colors in glossy or textured (matte effect) finishes is offered.

Painted over galvanized The steel profile or tube is sanded after galvanization and painted with a spray gun using either lacquer paint or UV-resistant powder paint.

Painted over zinc Before being painted with UV-resistant powder paint, our products undergo a mechanical treatment called shot blasting. This process involves projecting a layer of angular steel or stainless steel shot onto the surface to be painted, making it perfectly smooth

EUROPEAN STANDARD EN1090

PROCITY® has implemented the EN 1090 standard in its industrial process. This European standard governs the manufacturing and assembly of steel and aluminum structures.

What does it regulate? This standard regulates, among other things, the traceability of the materials used, the Factory Production Control (FPC), and particularly the Qualification of our Welding Procedures. It aims to ensure the safety of users of the products concerned and guarantees the quality of its products and the repeatability of its production methods.

Which products are affected? This standard applies to constructions in aluminum and/or steel, such as some of our shelters, including bus stations, bike shelters, and smoking shelters.

A certification, a guarantee of quality! The application of the EN 1090 standard at PROCITY® guarantees resilient and durable equipment. It ensures the quality of the materials used, the reliability and repeatability of production methods, as well as the quality of the assemblies.
